Dr. Connell's research interests include chronic disease self-management; dementia diagnosis and family caregiving; knowledge and attitudes about dementia; the role of physical activity in heart disease and diabetes self-management; and the impact of older adults' life transitions (e.g., driving) on family caregiving.
