The 1989 Survey of the Elderly in Taiwan was designed to provide benchmark data on the social, economic and physical well-being of the elderly aged 60+ in Taiwan. This publication includes the questionnaire (both Chinese and English versions), and a detailed description of the survey: overview of study design, sampling plan, field operations, response rates, sample characteristics, and interviewer instructions.
