Archiving of 2011, 2012, and 2015 NISVS Data

Research Project Description

ICPSR will provide archiving services, user support and reporting in the preparation, documentation, and use of NISVS 2011, 2012, and 2015 data for secondary analysis. Archiving the data will include producing coherent, user-friendly electronic files that are cleaned, efficiently arranged, and standardized in different formats (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R and ASCII) along with associated documentation (e.g., codebook, user guides, frequencies) available to the research community through the NACJD and ICPSR websites. All data will be preserved for historical purposes. CDC will provide the raw data files in a timely manner so that ICPSR can meet the deliverables schedule. CDC will provide an updated crosswalk table that includes the 2015 variables.
