Ellen Compernolle"The PSC Alumni Award provides key funding for an additional project stage that builds on previous research I conducted in Nepal, 2013. I will implement the next two components of this research agenda. The first consists of extensive data analysis using the CVFS and her my survey. The second piece consists of supplemental interviews of anomalous cases purposively sampled using these survey data. The award funding will support this critical phase in my larger research agenda by providing the foundation for my dissertation work. Throughout a professional career as a social demographer and international development researcher, I aim to understand the interrelationship between increasing international migration, family dynamics, and changes in local resource and energy consumption in developing countries."
